Lucknow: Priyanka Maurya, a member of the state women's commission, reported receiving a prank call from unidentified individuals who requested her personal information. She has lodged a complaint at Krishnanagar police station against these unknown individuals. The complaint stated that the callers pretended to be the personal assistants of the chief minister's principal secretary and the Unnao District Magistrate, and requested her personal details. Priyanka suspects that political opponents are attempting to smear her reputation through deceitful tactics. An investigation has been initiated based on her complaint. Priyanka received the first call on September 9 at her residence in LDA Colony on Kanpur Road, where the caller claimed to be the Unnao DM's PA and asked for her personal information. Another similar call was received on September 30 from someone posing as the PA of the chief minister's principal secretary. This caller emphasized the need for personal information as she was going to be given a significant responsibility. Priyanka decided to report the incident to Krishnanagar police station to address the issue. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Keshav Kumar, confirmed that an FIR has been filed, and an investigation is underway.
